2010/2011 Adopt a Family
Making a difference to people! Our adopt a family efforts...
We are happy to report we have done several things to help our 'adopted' family this 10/11 year, from Christmas gifts for the Children last year, as well as this year school supplies for the kids, helping purchase College books for Mom and helping with basic food needs several times, we really are making a difference in this families lives.
8/11 Summer Lunch Program
Marge Wiemann announces that our 'free lunch Tuesdays' was a big hit! The program went on for 12 weeks and an average of 7 kids per week were fed. The kids appreciated the meal and a good time was had by all! Thanks Marge........ well done.
8/11 S. Hill Block Party
Lois Blythe informs us that we donated 150 tenderloins for the S. Hill Block Party this year! What a great event that was.
8/11 Project Crayon
Marge reports that about 8 stuffed back packs were given away full of school supplies as well as a full box donated to the Project Crayon collection at F&M bank. The contributions were passed threw the community and greatly appreciated.
9/8/11 Farmers Market .........Dawn Durgin states this week was 105 tenderloins sold for a total of $514.50 total sales. Thanks to all who help pound, bread, set up, fry, sell, clean up and etc. Please know we need your help weekly and the fellowship is wonderful. Photos of some volunteers HERE
9/9/11 Food basket collections
Dawn requested food basket donation Items last week and again you all came threw! We thank you for your generous contributions. Please feel free to continue to donate as the holiday seasons are quickly approaching us.
9/11/11 Donation of Camera
Alice Foster (our Congregations photographer/publicist) has been without a camera since early this year. Ike and Lois Blythe donated one to her and also a battery recharger and rechargeable batteries. Thank you Ike and Lois. Then today, an 'anonymous gift' was given of a new camera, case, SD card and batteries also. Alice is tickled and a much a happier camper!!! Thank you all.
9/25/11 Linda Turley At todays service, given by Larry McGuire, Linda Turley was ordained into the Priesthood. Congratulations Linda. It was a great service and a wonderful celebration. Photos HERE
10/16/11 Family Nite What a great time we had at the Roland and Janet Wiemanns for a family nite! It was a wonderful get together for family and friends. Please check out the Photobucket album for some photos of the nites events. Photos HERE
10/23/11 Lois Blythes Orientation Today's service was delivered by Susan Strandberg, and Lois Blythe was ordained into the Priesthood. It was a wonderful and spiritual event and we congratulate her. Photos HERE
10/30/11 Trunk and Treat Today was small in participation, but great in fun. Kids enjoyed it and so did we! Photos HERE
